Every kind of ladder is prepared, some as long as ten metres, and are then loaded onto wagons. The two families leave Cresuia village in the foothills of the mountains, on long journeys across the plains. They go from one village market day to the next, sleeping at night under their wagons, and feeding their horses on the common lands of the villages they pass through.
