This collection was created in 1997, eight years after Poland had thrown off Communism.  Bridget cycled through Gdansk, home of Solidarity; Kashubia, a land with a special language and culture; the Tartarsky Sliansk, the route where Islamic Tartars have lived quietly through the centuries. The photographs were taken for a British family cycling magazine.
