These photos date from the early 2000s when Romania had cast off the Communist state but not yet joined the European Union. Arieseni villagers raised sheep and cattle, grew potatoes, made cheese and baked their own bread. Back home Bridget hand-crafted this black and white series which she later exhibited in Arieseni village.
